Venues post hospitality shifts, review matched candidates with PocketProfile signals, Academy progress and PocketScore, then shortlist and accept applicants. Accepted candidates receive notifications and appear as booked.
What is PocketWork Academy?
PocketWork Academy is a set of short skill cards covering shift readiness, safe service, guest experience, bar and floor skills, and career growth. PocketWork learning supports shift readiness — it does not replace venue-specific training or legally required certification.
What is a PocketProfile?
A PocketProfile is a candidate's profile on PocketWork — name, location, hospitality experience, role tags, availability, Academy progress and PocketScore. Venues see this when reviewing applicants.
What is PocketScore?
PocketScore is a trust signal that grows as a candidate completes PocketWork Academy modules. Venues see it when shortlisting candidates.
Is PocketWork a recruitment agency?
No. PocketWork is a hospitality staffing and learning app. Candidates and venues connect directly via shift posts and applications.
Does PocketWork guarantee work?
No. PocketWork does not guarantee that any candidate will be booked for any shift. Venues choose who to accept based on the profile signals available.
Does PocketWork guarantee staff availability?
No. PocketWork does not guarantee that any posted shift will receive applications or be filled. Availability depends on the candidates active on the platform at the time.
Is PocketWork Academy certified?
No. PocketWork Academy is not a certified, accredited or formally qualified training programme. It is a set of short foundation modules and skill cards that support shift readiness, and it does not replace any legally required certification.
